SCHOLARSHIP NEWS THIS TERM (SPRING 2011)

We are delighted to congratulate one of our Year 6 girls on her Academic Scholarship to St Leonard's, Mayfield! 

Congratulations also to one of our Year 6 boys who has been offered an All Rounder Award to Rose Hill.

JULY 2010 LEAVERS

Our Year 6 leavers again take up a variety of places at schools in Kent and Sussex. Uplands continues to be a popular choice and again this year 11+ candidates have taken up places at TWGGS. Scholarships have been awarded for excellence in Sport, Music and Academic subjects with places offered at Rose Hill School, Worth and St Leonards-Mayfield. Pupils have also been offered places at the following schools: St Gregorys', Heathfield Community College, Bethany School and Cumnor House in Eastbourne.

JULY 2009 LEAVERS

11+ SUCCESS  - Once agin, our 11+ candidates have been offered places at The Judd School, Tonbridge Girls' Grammar, Tunbridge Wells Girls' Grammar, and Skinners School. Well done!

All our candidates have been offered places for September 2009 and between them have scooped an Academic Scholarship, an All Rounder Scholarship (Art), a Gifted and Talented (Sport) Scholarship and a Headmaster's Award!

Whilst many of our pupils follow the 11+ route others chose to attend one of the excellent community colleges in the area. We endeavour to work with parents to choose a school where their child will continue to thrive and achieve their full potential.

Although we are a non-selective school, by the end of both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 our results are significantly above the national average in all three subjects assessed through SATs.

By the end of Key Stage 2 the government expects all children to achieve Level 4 in English, Maths and Science. As you will see, all pupils at Sacred Heart School achieve this level consistently with the majority attaining level 5 and exceeding targets set by government at local and national level. We believe these are exceptional results!
